The Power of Right Confession

“ Let me enjoy, problem no dey finish,”

“You will kill me with laughter,”

These are all phrases that we have heard and possibly uttered before. It’s supposed to be light hearted and just fun talk. However what we don’t realise is that our mouth creates our reality. Mark 11:23 says “You will have what you say”.

If you don’t like what you have, change what you are saying.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.  Proverbs 18:21.”

I am super particular about the things I say because I understand that it is creating my future. I have personally confessed a lot of things and seen them come to pass. I remember applying to a role at one of the top tech companies in the world. I prayed using Mark 11:23 and thanked God for that job. From that day I began confessing that I have that job and thanking God for it. It took about 4 months and about 6 interviews but in the end I got that job. I have used the Word to get jobs at three of the top five companies in my industry. The Word of God truly works

Bless the Lord, you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, Heeding the voice of His word.” – Psalms‬ ‭103:20

Hebrews 1:14 says “Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. How will the angels care for us? It’s by doing what we speak!

Angels are here to do our bidding! Having this understanding shows us how important it is to make the right confessions.

Let’s look at how the world came to be, shall we?

When God wanted to change how the world looked He spoke things into existence.

In the creation account in Genesis 1:3 it says “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” God spoke everything we see now. Hold up though, before you say but that was God, well are we not His children? Don’t children take after their parents? We are to do as He does. This means we are to speak the Word over every area of our lives to see a change. Speak it until you like what you see.

“(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;” – Romans 4:17

Take stock of the words you speak, decide each day that you will only speak what you want to see. Even if it doesn’t look anything like it in the physical. Currently some parts of the world are experiencing high gas/fuel prices.  This has caused hardship and complaints from many but this is not the time for us to cry along with the world but to rise up and speak the Word over that situation. Declare Job 22:29 – “When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.”  The Word says YOU will say there is a lifting up. Keep at it and you’ll see things beginning to change for you.

Refuse to speak doom no matter how funny or light hearted it is.

Don’t allow others to speak doom over you as well. Politely correct them in love. This will be a great opportunity to teach them the Word on making the right confessions. Even if they don’t agree in the beginning, the seed of the Word has been planted and it will surely bear fruit.

Have the right confessions sis,
