Slay, Queen… Slay!

More often than not; ‘to slay’ has become an urban slang these days which means that a person has greatly impressed, especially in the area of dressing up. We find that we tell our fellow sisters, “Gurrrl, you slayed!” or “Girl, you killed it!” to emphasise how well they are looking:

While that is all well and good, funny enough whenever the word slay comes to mind; the image that comes to mind is God’s people with a sword in hand or a mighty warrior angel waging war in the spiritual realms on our behalf as shown by the featured picture I got off the internet.

We must rise up to slay in the realms of the spirit.

Did you get that?

We must rise up to slay in the realms of the spirit.

In your preparation season; you must fervently slay and by slay, I mean pray.

Yes.

Pray.

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much (KJV James 5:16)

You slay through prayer. Whenever things are not going how you wish, you slay; when all looks dreary, you slay; when your heart is broken, you slay; when you looking for a breakthrough, you slay! There’s much happening in the realms of the spirit that needs to be ‘killed’ and dealt with.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV Ephesians 6:12)

So in this stage of preparation, be it towards marriage or your dreams, you need to pick up the sword of the spirit which is the word of God and deal with every principality or rulers of darkness. You need to speak into your marriage that though your beginning may be small, the Lord will grant increase. So in combination with Fasted Faith, gurrrrrrl, you need to slay!

Queen Esther didn’t think her position as a Queen meant that she didn’t have to pray. If she thought that way, all the Jews could have been wiped out! Including herself!

“Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish.” (ESV Esther 4:13)

Queen, in your time of preparation; if you keep silent and you do not slay the works of the enemy, who knows if your plans will perish???

Before you put on that gown; be certain your prayers have slayed ahead of you!

Let me pray with you,

“Hi Father,

Thank you for the people who are empowered to slay through prayer. Equip them O Lord to rise up to prayer! Help them to take up the swords of your word. We thank you for your empowerment, in Jesus name, Amen.”????

Gurrrrl, slay through prayer! and then we will say, you slayed.

Jesus loves you and I do too,

Queens in Christ,
