“I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” 2 Timothy 1:5 NLT
Don’t know about you but I think Grandma Lois is goals.
She clearly had wisdom in the faith which she passed down to her daughter Eunice and then to her grandson, Timothy! So great was her impact in Timothy’s life that even Apostle Paul commended her.
Every goal you are working towards has a ‘grandma’ in the field. A queen from whom you can draw some wisdom.
If you are looking to become a lawyer, a banker, a wife, a mother, a professor, an A student, find the ‘grandma’ in that field, someone who can offer you guidance in that field.
Society now tucks away the old. Still, the fact remains that every grandma has a wealth of experience in their lives, which if possible to draw out of them can prevent one from falling down a road they may once have treaded on.
Be sure its godly wisdom though:
“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behaviour, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good…” Titus 2:3 KJV
Queen Esther had Hegai to represent a grandma in her life, who offered her wisdom in her preparation stages:
“Hegai liked Esther and took a special interest in her. Right off he started her beauty treatments, ordered special food, assigned her seven personal maids from the palace, and put her and her maids in the best rooms in the harem.” Esther 2:9 THE MSG
If you cant seem to find a ‘grandma’ to lean on- or if your representations of a grandma are mean and stern, I offer you one who is more ancient than any other grandma in history and that is-
GOD ALMIGHTY! THE ANCIENT OF DAYS!
“I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven one like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. Daniel 7:13
